DESCRIPTION
The request was to conceive a purely artistic representation of the relationship between Europe and Africa in the Strait of Gibraltar. In antiquity, this place represented the ultimate boundary, beyond which lay the unknown, provided it could be reached at all. The main problem was how to cross it. Today, not much has changed, except for the direction of the journey. The Pillars of Hercules can now represent not a limit, but a connection, a place of energetic exchange in every respect. A new mythological place, provided it can be reached.
